Today for reading, Kate emailed Wellington Zoo to see if they could help her find answers to her questions.

To the Zoo Keepers

My name is Kate and I am 7.  I go to Oroua Downs School and I am doing a project on Kangaroos.

Will you please help me answer these questions.

1. How long does it take for a young kangaroo to learn to bounce?
2. When the young kangaroo gets out of the pouch, how big is it?
