Fast Response to Kates Request!!!

The people at Wellington Zoo are AMAZING!!!!

Hi Kate,

Thank you for your email and interest in Wellington Zoo.

You have an interesting topic to research and I’m sure you will find plenty of information from a good number of sources.

You may find some good information on this website: http://www.kangaroofootprints.com.au/about-joeys.htm

At Wellington Zoo we help students learn about various subjects when they visit the Zoo with their school class. Regrettably we do not have enough resources to be able to respond to the large number of student queries we receive.

Our suggestion is that you use a combination of resources including but not limited to our own website (a link to our animal collection is recorded below), the Department of Conservation, Ministry for the Environment, WWF, Greenpeace and a good structured search on Google to gather your data.

For information on most species at the zoo see our website: http://www.wellingtonzoo.com/content/animals/our-collection.aspx?t=1

If your school has plans for a camp or field trip then please consider booking an LEOTC Learning Session here at Wellington Zoo as this is a great way to learn how the Zoo is working with conservation initiatives, animal populations and the environment.

Thanks again for your interest in Wellington Zoo and we wish you well with your topic of interest.

Kind regards

Rhiannon

Great ideas for Kate to continue her learning with.
