Here they are....

After a fantastic effort on Friday and a lot of thoughts about ANZAC day, we have completed our artworks.
They have a textured cross, a carefully made poppy and vine on a simple background.
They look amazing!
We will be using these to continue our learning about ANZAC day next term.

Well Well Well

Well, well, well
Where has that term gone!?!

Just wanted to give a huge congratulations to all the FAB4 learners!!!  You have all worked so very hard this term and have improved in so many ways!
Keep setting those goals and taking steps towards success!

Next term, we are shifting it up another gear, so make sure you practice your self management over the holidays!

Your holiday challenge is to – pick one or two

·      Climb a tree that you have never climbed before
·      Do something nice for someone in your family
·      Make someone a card
·      Bake something with someone in your family.
Feel free to take a snap of this fun and email it to me so we can share the fun on the blog!!!

To all the FAB4 parents and caregivers….

A huge thank you for all your support, the reading at night, the extra homework, the classroom visits, the positive notes on the blog and in the notebooks, the communication,  and all the help you provide our awesome learners.

I am looking forward to working with you all next term and achieving more of our goals and challenging their comfort zones.
Have a safe and chocolate filled Easter

Kind regards

Tarnz

Yummy Yum Yum!!!

We were very lucky this morning.  Cameron made some fudge with his Mum last night and wanted to share with his class.  Such a kind young man.

Miss Zee had to check that is was OK first, hehehehe, they didn't believe me when I said it was yucky and I would sacrifice my tastebuds and have the lot.

The look of shock and dismay on their faces!!!!
Soooooo funny!!!!!!

Cameron shared some with room one, Mrs Martin, Kara, Mrs V and Mr Niwa!  Super spoilt!!!

Thanks heaps Cameron and Kelly for your awesome baking skills!  What a way to start a Tuesday!!!

Buzzy Bees

When Mrs Stanbra took our class yesterday, we read Wilbee the Bumblebee.
We had to cut little strips of yellow paper and black paper and we had to glue them onto our bees. And if you wanted to you could bend them up.  That is mostly all we did for our bees.

I took some picture to show you what they look like.  Some people are taking them home and some are going to be on our wall in the classroom.

Come and have a look.

By Matthew.

Room 4 Rocks!!!!

Such a proud day!

this is what every teacher wants to see when they are out of the classroom for the day!  So mega proud of all you Fab4 learners!
Awesome self management, excellence, respect, teamwork and your buzzy bees showed your creativity!
You are truly AMAZING!!!!

Wahooooooo!

Wahoo!  We are Rocking!

What a fantastic week we had last week!
The army visit was a highlight!  Such a cool experience for the kids!  I have a couple of snaps that I couldn’t publish on the blog (weapons and stuff) but will pop them in notebooks of the lucky people so they can show off at home, not everyone but a few J
I have been super massive impressed with our improvements in writing!  WOW! We are becoming more confident, we are writing more, we are editing and making changes and we are becoming more confident!  What legends you all are!
Our basic facts is starting to heat up, with Wednesdays being a very exciting day!
This Wednesday I am on CRT so Mrs Stanbra will be taking the class, we will postpone basic facts till Thursday J

This week, we are doing a lot of reflecting and searching.  Reflecting on how well we have done and searching for pieces of work to show off in our portfolios!

Thank you all very much for your continued support and all those extras you do at home….we are seeing the results.

Kind Regards
Tarnz

Army Invasion

On Tuesday, we were very lucky to be able to experience a training task with the NZ Army.
We were allowed to get up close and personal with vehicles, nets, packs, communication systems, soldiers and weapons.
It was a great learning opportunity, lots of questions and much excitement!
Here are a few shot.

Working Space

Matthew is a wee bit chuffed with himself, he is decorating a desk for his work space.

Once this is dry, we can put a layer of MODGE POD on it and it will be all ready to be used.

It has got images of his favourite things and ideas to remind everyone about making good choices at school.

Next week he will be teaching groups how to make more for our class!

Good job Matthew :-)

Cricket - THROWING

Today we were learning how to throw.
We learnt that when bowling we have a straight arm but when we are throwing, we need a bent arm.

Tell you what....We are some fantastic up and coming cricket stars!!!!

Here are a few action shots :-)

Awesomeness!!!!!

We had a detective in the classroom today.
It was Todd, he was the King of Awesome!!!
He had a few people following him around carrying his cape hahaha

It was Todd's job to look for awesomeness and hand out virtues!

THEN.... after school Miss Zee found out that today was International Day of Awesomeness!!!!

Whoa! Week Seven

WHOA!!! What a whirlwind last week was.

I heard great  things from Mrs Brader about how well our class showed teamwork!
This is so great to hear, special mention goes to Benjamin for being extra helpful, Sahara for being a great buddy, Tai for trying his best, and our two Charlotte’s for being amazing!!!!

Last Friday, we had tabloids, it was an amazing day and the children represented our school with excellence.  It was super to see our senior leaders do such an awesome job.  It was also fabulous to see our children being so proud of their classroom, they were worried about people touching stuff and the wind destroying stuff – great respect for our learning environment!!!!
It has been fantastic to see our creativity showcased with samples of our writing in the newsletter, keep working hard guys!!

This week we are working on writing word stories in maths to show our understanding when problem solving.
We are working on descriptions in writing and working on our comprehension in our reading.
We are also starting to look at World War I during our topic, using images to start our thinking.

I would like to thank all of you for your continued support at home with extra efforts to support your small persons learning.

Kind regards
Tanya
