Buddy Learning..

Today we were writing a recount about the amazing play we saw yesterday.
We have set our own goals for writing and worked hard to make sure that we achieved them.  We are looking for evidence that we are working towards our goals.
We worked together with our learning buddies, they listened to our stories, checked that we were thinking about our goals and then gave some advice on how we could improve our writing.
FAB-4 learners are using our virtue of TEAMWORK today!  An awesome learning buzz today :-)

Fishy Frenzy!!!

A huge thanks to Benjamin and Braxton for their helping hands and creativity in creating our mural.  It looks rather impressive!!!
We have amazing artists in Fab-4!!!!

Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony

We we all amazed by the spectacular opening ceremony this morning.  We had a great sense of pride when the New Zealand team entered the stadium!

We all decided that if we were there, we would be very proud but a little bit nervous with over a billion eyes on us!

Stretching out the numbers

Today in maths we learnt about expanded form.
We visited numbertown and talked about the spies in the different houses - hahaha ask your children to explain - that could be quite interesting.
We had a lot of great teachers helping each other understand how it was done.

Sahara was so pleased with her success and Kate was a great teacher!

Fishy Mural

This week we have been looking at ways to describe appearance and movement.  We have shared a story "Fidgety Fish" and we are creating a mural to display our writing and amazing artworks, look out for it as it takes shapes outside our class.  :-)

New term begins

This week, we are looking at Mathletics, we are so lucky to have this in our school, huge thanks to our
amazing Home and School  for making this happen.  Everyone has their own login and can access from home if they wish.  Hope you enjoy this :-)

We are also beginning a digi awards project.  I will be sending home our classroom cameras for the children to take videos of their family dancing - we are making a ‘happy’ music video.  I thought it would be extra special if our whanau got involved.  Perhaps you could dress up, film at a special place around home, get a bit crazy and have fun.  Aim to film for about 20 seconds, give us a couple of options as the editing is easy.  If you don’t want to be in the video, thats fine :-).

We are looking at setting goals for our writing and finding evidence to show we have achieved them.

Could you please ask your wonderful children if they have all their tools for learning, there could be a few bits and pieces that may need to be purchased, mostly pencils.  Your support with this would be greatly appreciated.

Looking forward to a great term with your awesome children.
