Excited Buzzz

Thunderbirds are GO!

Whoa!  What a buzz there is in the classroom today.  We are busy putting on the finishing touches to our products, making signs, counting wages and working out our selling rosters, all set for MARKET DAY on Wednesday!

Everyone can be super proud of themselves! You have all worked hard, listened and shared, met your deadlines and run successful businesses!

Looking forward to a fantastic market day!

The Spongy Smart Kids have made some amazing window hangings!

If you are after a pom pom pet, you need to find the Skells stall.

The Working Girls are busy working to get thier photo frames completed.

It seems we have lots of annoying brothers and sister around here as these door signs seems to be a popular item that people are planning to purchase.

Better get in quick, you wouldn't want to miss out!

Crack up story by Mckenzie

"Chevy!  I'm going to get you back!" I screamed.
"But you can't catch me," laughed Chevy.
"I can so!" I yelled.
I chased him..... "aaahhhhhh Stop it, I don't like it," moaned Chevy.
Then I turned the hose off and Chevy looked through the top of the hose.  I quickly turned it back on and BAM, it squirted all over his face!

Sam Attacks by Jack

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
"Let's get Dad with the hose," said Sam.
Tip toe.....tip toe......tip toe.......3, 2, 1......go!
"aaahhhhhh STOP IT!  I give up! SAM!" raged Dad.
"RRRRRUUUUUNNNNNNN guys," commanded Sam.
Puff Puff
"I'm going to get you back," claimed Dad.
Sams Dad was thinking about his payback.  40 minutes later he had an idea.  But he didn't have the materials so he jumped in the car and started up the engine and drove to RD1.  He got all the stuff and drove home.......Revenge starts now......

WATCH OUT KATE!!!

Splash!
The giant blue water balloon landed on Max's dripping face.
"I'm going to get you!" screamed Max with a terrifying face!
I was cracking up! Thump!  Max came running at me!  I was sprinting as fast as I could.  Max had a big yellow water gun.  My legs were tired, my face was red, who knew what was going to happen next?
"It is time for you to get squirted with freezing cold water!", said in an angry voice.
Would I lose the ultimate water fight?

Riki-Lee's exciting whanau fun!!!

We went to my Uncles to have a water fight on the bouncy castle at day time.  Braxton, Chevy, Mckenzie, Me and my friend and Kenzies cousin were bouncing and the parents were sitting down on the deck outside next to the bouncy castle.  I put soap in the slide and whacked my brother in the face because it was too slippery.  I put more soap on there and I did it again!!!!!
After we finished we went on the motorbikes, I went on the go kart.  I crashed into the fence, I got an electric shock.  I broke the go kart a lot but my Uncle fixed it.  It went again.

Check out Makaylas great writing!!

This week, we are using images to motivate our writing.
We used this image and wrote 'moment in time' thoughts.

It was a bursting hot day for me and my friends.  I was sweating on my forehead.  Then we had a water fight.  I was sort of relaxed with my friends, Tom, Jake and Jack.  We were excited.  I couldn't wait until I fell in that wetness.  As I closed my eyes, I feel that amazing water dripping on my body.

I like how Fred was helped in this story :-)

A wee challenge...

Last week, we had a challenge:
With a buddy, using storybird, write a narrative that only has five pages.

We talked about what each page should include and then set off on our mission.

Here is an example by Arianna and Skylia

More Storybirds to come.

Words of Wisdom

WOW!!! Fab4 rock at PrEP!!!

We are flying along, making our products, booking in advertising in the newsletter, creating advertisements for around the school, thinking about how we are going to package, thinking of our profit, calculating our wages, developing our key competencies......We are so awesomely busy!!!

Here are some Words of Wisdom that we want to share with you all.....

  • It is important to measure accurately so our products are consistent.
  • We need to control our excitement and make sure that we are making the best product we can.
  • We need to be careful with the glue as it might make our product look bad of we rush it.
  • We need to use teamwork and not argue.
  • Everyone has to know what everyone in the group is doing so we can be a good team.
  • The CEO has to make sure that everyone has a job and is doing it right.
  • We have to balance the bank account.
  • We need to listen to each other.
  • We need to be organised so we can be at the warehouse on time, some times we might have to work outside of PrEP time.
  • We need to think about the quality of our product - if we are asking people to pay for them, they need to be consistent.

This is pretty impressive advice for a great bunch of business people.

I hope they are sharing the excitement at home with you too.

Gosh - whizzing by!

The term is whizzing by...... we have worked on the Labyrinth and have focussed on character descriptions.
We are now moving onto narratives, everyone is doing a great job.  We had a great lamb and calf day with creativity on display.
Congrats to all those that received a prize and showed off their pets with pride!

Here are a couple of images of the photography we did, which is on display outside our class.  So glad I wasn't the judge!
