Isabelle brings along her chickens.

We were very lucky today, Isabelle and her Mum brought their new baby chickens for a visit.

We learnt so much about chickens!

Come in the class and have a look at all the information we learnt, about how to care for chickens, what they do and how they are like dinosaurs!!!!

We would like to introduce Emelda and Twinkle.

Did you know that different chickens lay different looking eggs!

It is important to feed the chickens special food at different times in their lives.

We were great listeners, we had to be quiet and calm, because chickens can die of fright!

Having a snack.

Isobelle took pictures of her rooster and other chickens to show the class.

These guys are about 4 months old.

They are lovely and soft to pat.

Chicken Big!

We have been reading the awesome story called "Chicken Big"

We learnt a lot of important messages from this story that could help us during our days at school.....

  • Everyone is unique and special in their own way
  • We shouldn't call people names
  • We need to think about the words we chose to use
  • We need to include everyone
  • We should be kind and caring
  • We shouldn't judge people
  • If everyone was the same, the world would be a boring place.
We created our own special chicken, please come and have a look at our awesome creativity in the corridor outside our class.

Welcome Back!!!!

Hi there everyone!

Hope you have had a fantastic holiday and have been enjoying the sun!
Phoa! it is very hot!

We have had a fantastic first week back, lots of excited and slightly nervous children.

We would like to welcome, Zavana, Isobelle, Hunter, Lachlan and Cameron to our awesome class, and those small people that have moved up from room one.

I am really looking forward to having lots of fun, learning lots and challenging our comfort zones.
