Starting Mathematical Discussions

Today during maths, we were challenged to prove Miss Zee Wrong.

This was the equation:  4 + 5 = 10

Miss Zee wrote an equation (she knew it was wrong hahaha), but the super learners needed to show and explain why she was wrong.
It was fantastic to see such great discussions, awesome teamwork and great diagrams.

This is going to be lots of fun.
Congratulations to everyone, at times it can be tricky putting your ideas in the line, you all did a great job!
Jade used tally marks to help solve the equation.

Benjamin showed us that using doubles is a great way to calculate and prove that Miss Zees answer had to be wrong.

Matthew used a number line to show the right answer.

Todd showed us what actually equalled ten so Miss Zees answer couldn't be right.

Mckenzie used drawings to represent numbers, an easy way to prove Miss Zee wrong.

Looking forward to more great math discussions on Thursday :-)
